Quick Update and Support Forum
Hi all,
I’m writing to announce to you all that we’ve set up a support forum, available here at http://mlb.ensequence.com, that will allow for better consolidation of our support teams suggestions, results, and insight, and allow you all to post your various issues and resolutions as well. Shane, who leads our support team and some of you I’m sure have spoken to, will be the principal maintainer of the support forum and will be commenting there. The blog has been very helpful in providing tactile feedback as we worked to make sure you’ve all been supported, but I think that the next generation of this will be more efficient via the forum. It’s not currently integrated with our mlb.com user accounts, so you’ll need to sign-in there for the time being, but it should provide a starting point for us to consolidate all of this information. We’re also going to be working on getting a better feedback mechanism in place for next-generation features and functionality. Finally, we’re actively working on enhancing our video encoding as well, to provide even higher quality video via the mosaic and mlb.tv for you all.

How about letting us know how many outs there are on the 2×3 view? At any resolution, you can’t read the network in-screen base-path icon or number of outs.

I registered on the above site, however I am unable to post. I have updated drivers, and still am having sporadic issues with running mosiac. I can always watch an individual game on mosiac, but can watch 4 or 6 only occasionally. This has only been in issue in the last week or so.

I can’t watch 4/6 mosiac (no video). I can select single game, video/audio fine. When I go back to 4 or 6 , no video and audio stuck on previous game.
2 things:
1) I noticed a bug. In Mosaic, when coming back from “Boss” mode to a single game view, the audio will not come back. One must re-drag the game to the viewer.
2) I also find it frustrating when the game goes to commercial early and comes back late. This appears to happen at least 95% of the time. This is especially annoying on the comebacks because this is often when the broadcasts replay the last out of an inning. I’d rather see the last 3 seconds of a commercial (or all of them) and not miss a second of the game. Note that if MLB.TV had been around for Game 7 of the 2003 ALCS, viewers probably would have missed Aaron Boone’s walkoff to the beat the Sox and thus one of top moments in MLB history!

Look, users should have the option of NOT taking any more updates IF their Mosaic is currently working for them. You’re just making it worse and worse when it used to work quite well.
I am quite upset that I will miss the last part of the Mariners’ game because Mosaic claims that I am logged on using two different computers. This is garbage.
All of a sudden I can not watch MLB Mosaic anymore, i used it for the first month + of the season and this week it says Content Unavailable, why would this change all of a sudden, I can still watch on MLB.TV Premium though.
I have a quick query as to the progress of the 3 and 4 screen modes of Mosaic and their progress. As of the A209 build, they still read “coming soon”. I would love to be able to view one game in a large size while keeping tabs on other games rather than straining to see 6 small games.
Anyone else having this problem?
The “Alert” section no longer gives alerts to only the players I’ve selected. And it locks on a loop of players at startup. I’m getting alerts about Melky Cabrera being at bat for the Yankees, and the game is over.
The last couple of days I haven’t been able to log in as it has given me a verification message. Even though I type in all the information EXACTLY as in my MLB.com account, the window keeps popping up.
I second Douglas’ comments above, let’s have the 3-screen mode! Also, I’m disappointed that I’m paying $20 a month to watch commercials for ****’s Sporting Goods. I mean, it’s a good commercial…the first 5 times…but it’s the principle of it. I can watch commercials for ****’s for free.
Please..the **** commercials are getting monotonous.

Get rid of the ****’s Sporting Goods commercials!!! I can’t watch it anymore. 50 times/night is 49 times too many. I’m paying $19.95/month for these out-of-synch webcasts, and yet MLB feels it has the right to annoy, irritate and alienate its customers. These webcasts should be commercial-free, but if that’s blasphemy for Bud, at least get some new advertisers. NOW.
I agree get rid of the ****’s Sporting Goods commercials!!! I can’t watch them anymore get some new ones up like the ones the cable amd sat. tv. brodcasts has.
Congratulations to ****’s Sporting Goods for the biggest advertising blunder of all time. Name another company that with one commercial has alianated the entire sports world. In a few weeks we can all stop complaining about this insidious ad since ****’s Sporting Goods has accomplished all by themselves in doing what we were not able to do by ourselves, putting the company out of business!! Congratulations ****’s Sporting Goods for a job well done.

On MLBTV Mosaic I believe I get the Home team’s Broadcast, is there a way to change it to my team’s broadcast?
I just cancelled my subscription starting with the next scheduled monthly renewal.MLB is a big-time outfit, but the tech problems and the “Dear ****” Sporting Goods ads don’t reflect it. Try to do better in the future instead of just taking our money and thumbing your nose at us.

Why is PIT/CIN listed? They’re not even playing?
Pit is playing SD AND THE GAME IS ON RIGHT NOW. The mosaic shows Pit/Cin in the preview box.If you drag this preview box to one of the screens the Pit/SD game comes in 4/6 but not the x1.

I have to disagree with adkinsjm. I have solved several problems with mosaic with the help of Shane and the information posted on the Forum.
I have a mac and until recently was able to log into mosaic. After I installed the new Apple Extreme I get a message saying loading which never actually logs on. Can still use the single game mode. Suggestions
will they ever ?????? fix tihs lol still nice Beta test when it works

please stop the bouncing sound of the baseball during the commercial break. it’s extremely annoying. have the sound of the crowd, by all means, but i didn’t subscribe to mlbmosaic to be annoyed by a computer game noise
and please fix the audio-visual synchronisation. if you’re gonna have it out of synch, please put the video before the audio. the words “and the ball is outta here” before the ball has even been thrown kinda blows the suspense. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER MLB.COM!!! but thanks for removing the ‘*****’ from my screen.
the blocked out word above is the name of the sporting goods chain that used to advertise. i admit, it was a cheap double-entendre.

my Mosaic says i’m streaming @ 1360 kb/sec, but it stops and buffers every 30-40 seconds. is this common or ?. It makes it hard to watch. my bandwith is 1038.
As a follow up to Shane’s appeal for everyone to sign up on the forum, I would like to say, from experience, that you will find more answers and timely responses on the forum than on the Blog. I started out here and received helpful information from Justin and others from Mosaic, but the forum offers more answers for many different issues and up-dates regularly on a daily basis. The forum is a more informative way to go. Take it from me, I’ve solved more problems since I’ve been on the forum. Hope everyone takes advantage of the forum.

The information beneath each screen (inning, which bases are occupied, score) is ahead of the broadcast on mosaic. For example, I know if someone gets on base before the at-bat is completed. Anyway to eliminate the data under the screen?
I just purchased this premium membership, and I have to say im very dissapointed. I purchased it because i saw it working well on a buddies computer. I have a brand new toshiba top of the line laptop. and I AM able to see single games, but in MOSAIC NO GAMES AT ALL show in the 6 pack or 4 pack mode. How do I fix that?
You need to go to the forum and post your DXDIAG info.
– Click on [Start]
– Click on [Run]
– In the [Run] line type “DXDIAG” (no quotes).
– A DirectX dialog window will open.
– On that dialog will be a “Save all information as” button.
– Click that button and save the information as: ?your_Name.TXT? to the Desktop

Last night I tried to watch the Red Sox Mariners game and could only get Mosaic to the “connecting” point. No multi game or single game video or audio, all the alerts however dsiplayed as usual. I have been using this product without incident all season, recently installed ZoneAlarm pro but manually identified swarmcast and MLB TV as trusted and allowed programs.
I also have un-installed this crappy program. It has never worked correctly and my system dwarfs the requirements to run it. The only reason I am not truly pissed is that I bought the MLB package for the sole purpose of watching the yanks from NC and the 700 stream is just fine, thank you very much. As for this mosaic scam,I hope you guys figure it out some day.
I have a simple question/problem. When a game is under way, its icon shows the score. When it is final, no score shows. Isn’t that kind of brain-dead? When it’s a final, the score is the main thing I want, and obviously the system has access to it. Can this be fixed?
Went to open Mosaic today, there was an upadte, when it finished Mosaic couldn’t open, Suggested that I check my DirectX Drivers and upadte, did that. Still get the same eror code 800736b1. Please help.

What the heck did they change with that update? i shouldn’t have to uninstall and reinstall the program, that’s BS. please just fix it.
Everything works just fine on my trusty Apple MacBook Pro. Even on this new build.
The only trouble I ever have is when the central computer thinks I am logged on to the system but I am not. Result…. everything is blacked out.
There should be an “express lane” feature that let’s you get tech support just to clear this problem.
I have had to get it fixed once before and it takes only a few seconds when the mlb.tv staff clear out the flag in the central computer.
It is a shame I have to wait so long for customer support to handle all these people with their windoze driver issues. [sigh]
Same issue with DirectX update.
Looks another 20 Meg + update was just pushed out… or my computer tried to install it a second time about 20 minutes after the last update.
Also had directx problem. Uninstalled mosaic and swarmcast and reinstalled.
SECOND PROBLEM- Where is the 2nd- currently live Tiger Game – only the first archived one from earlier today is in Mosaic- I can watch 2nd game through my web browser- just not listed in Mosaic- bug because of double header???
Okay, I did the uninstall and reinstall of Mosaic and the program is now working. XP would not remove it using the add/remove function. I had to go into the directory and delete it that way. Good luck.
I also have the directx problem. I already reinstalled, but the problem persists.
I also updated my dirct x driver.
After update I receive “Stream error; Trying” when attempting to view 4 or 6 games on Mosaic in either medium or high quality, but have no trouble on the low quality setting. Connection speed is not a problem having 6Mbps cable internet service and I also have no trouble in single game mode. Any ideas?
My computer info – black macbook 2ghz C2D; version 10.4.10, 160gb HD, 1.5GB RAM, external monitor (20″ Samsung 205bw),
Suggestions:
– Volume control seems poor, unable to change volume along each increment, volume only seems to have 4 different levels, despite 8 ‘bars’ suggesting 8 different volume levels.
– If i resize the mosaic window, making it almost full screen on my external monitor, and then move it over to my macbook monitor, if i then move it back to my external, the are not visible on the macbook monitor is cut out, and only return when i click on bottom right of window (i.e. where resize tab is).
– It would be nice to be able to turn off the ‘alert’ feature (in mosaic mode, alert message on windows); im losing 15-20% of the viewing area.
– When i click full screen, it opens in full screen in my external monitor; what if i want to open the fullscreen on my macbook monitor; or if i had 2 external monitors, how do decide which monitor to put the full screen window on.

Hello,
My issue tonight was the in-between innings advertising that had a volume THREE TIMES THE LEVEL of the announcing at the game. I had to turn down the volume at each break between innings and that makes my experience terrible.
