The 2008 Mosaic is now Available
Thanks very much for your patience. With this being MLB.TV’s most anticipated Opening Day ever, we appreciate your frustration. Ultimately we ran into conflicts that were buoyed by an entire suite of new products rolling out simultaneously that didn’t affect themselves with less than the full slate of games being played concurrently.
We hope you all enjoy the mosaic throughout the season and will be monitoring the support forums here around the clock while we ensure that everything is stable.
If you are having any trouble, we ask that you post in the support forum, as opposed to commenting here, as it will get a more timely reply from a larger group of our engineers.

What a tease! I wait all day and finally get the word that it’s ready, I download it, install it, run it and then get a message saying the mosaic service is currently unavailable and that I should check back soon. Fantastic.
I went there and it still has the box over it saying “Available March 31” – no download available.
This blows. I wanted to watch the 1PM games, not the 5pm games. But the “still has the box over it saying “Available March 31″ – no download available.” – but now I can download it. But I’m getting the what the guy above is getting, no acess – blah blah blah.
You’d figured you would have the hang of it already. Thanks for nada.
This is ********. all the **** I went through last year. And now this? I’ve been trying installs for over an hour now!! And I am on the fastest possible connection. You people should be fired. I want my money back.
This is even worse than last year. I was at least managing to watch the “next-def” broadcast earlier (you know – the one with the ridiculously small “full screen” mode). Then I downloaded and installed the new Mosaic, with firewall settings all as described in your forum post.
Now I can’t get anything via the webcast at all and when I try Mosaic the only game that will display is Arizona @ Cincinnatti. Every other game just says “connecting to media” indefinitely.
This is another long time subscriber who won’t be renewing next year.

I get the same stuff when using browers (IE and Firefox). Mosaic crashes upon opening. I’ve done all the possible restarts and downloads.
I’m glad the staff “appreciates our frustration” maybe they should work fulltime instead of working only in the spring.
i get empty viewers also AND mosaic crashes all the time. I don’t have time to sit around and fuss with this as I have since inning 1. its now the 7th. Thanks for the “ultimate experience” you f-in losers. How about getting some real engineers onboard and same mgmt that is smart enough to tinker when games are meaningless.
In fact, this BS has me rethinking the whole strategy. F-baseball. I’m going to cancel my subscription and spend more time outside.
well, had it working for 5 minutes, now giving me an error stating “could not validate your info for the purposes of checking your location against our blackout system”. anyone else getting this message. tried calling customer service, but surprise surprise, no one available to help.
Yeah, this is garbage. I just entered my credit card information and now I get an error message saying “records show your account is logged on to multiple computers”…what is this garbage? This is after getting an invalid credit card message for about 20 minutes. MLB, you are screwing the pooch. Of course, my phone is on speaker right now, been that way for 20 minutes and counting. Ahh…who needs minutes anyways right?
Come on guys, you can do better than this… the streams have been awful today. Worst of all, I just dropped $120 on something I can’t even watch in full screen! I understand some individuals are sticklers about maintaining ratios, but I don’t care– I just want the feed to take up my ENTIRE screen. Please address this, it is a terrible, terrible oversight.
Well this is BS…mosaic don’t work, Silverlight is garbage, (by the way if you want to remove silverlight, close all browsers and delete microsoft silverlight from your program files and then next time u hop onto the mlb.tv webplayer you can choose the orignal media player) And why is the ‘fullscreen’ the size of a bleepin gameboy!!? bah wut a waste of money and on opening day of all days. I don’t understand how the ball could be dropped on this, by the way, for the 1.2 meg links you are missing part of your javascript…. 😦
it’s not just mosaic that is messed up. i can’t watch ANY video at all. every time i try, i either get the error message that the site is undergoing maintenance or i get the error that i am blacked out (i’m not trying to view my hometeam games). NOTHING works. this is unbelievable… how can you guys release a product like this?

GOT MY MONEY BACK!. After 45 mins on the phone holding, I finally got the billing department. Complain that I didnt even sign up for MLB.TV account but they charged my account so therefor I got a tracking # & a refund back to my credit card.
EVERYONE GO CALL THE BILLING DEPARTMENT & COMPLAIN AS THAT’S THE BEST & ONLY WAY TO GET YOUR FUNDS BACK! FUNNY HOW ALL THE ADVERTISEMENT & THE SIGN UP PAGES WORK CORRECTLY BUT ONCE YOU PAID IT, NOTHING WORKS. IT’S 4/1 TODAY & STILL THE VIDEO DOESNT EVEN WORK WHEN YOU CLICK ON THE 400K OR 800K. ALL U GET IS A BLANK BLUE SCREEN WITH THE SCORELINES.

I’m having the same problem as dustin_bills@yahoo.com is having.
It’ll look like it’s logging in and then I’ll get that message saying it couldn’t verify my location (as if IP verification was an accurate science).
Tech support told me they were having difficulties with it. I was able to view some games last night with it, but after I signed out and tried signing in again, it gave me the same error and it’s been like that all day long (Tuesday, April 1, 2008).
I can still watch the games view the browser (although Silverlight is a anything BUT ‘lite’).
MLB.com should’ve gone to RealPlayer or even Flash instead – more reliable.
They should have also gone through a different developer for the Mosaic application. It’s a decent program (when it works), but it’s been an overall disappointment for me.
Wow $120 and mosiac has taken giant leaps backwards.
