Using the Mac version, I can’t login. I get the “Address Verification Form” over and over.

I think I know why. In Console.app I see the following message whenever Mosaic tries to handle my data:

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

application or computer (machine.config) must have the

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.

The application must also be compiled with debugging

    enabled.

    For example:

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception

will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

rather than be handled by this dialog box.

hage – just hit enter without inputing data – you’ll go right in. 😉

greg – my Vista machine loaded fine. I don’t work for BAM but the error is a handling error and I assume the loading object wants a DLL that either isn’t there or is in a place other than it thinks it should be.

You might try uninstalling mosaic, rebooting, then go to windows update and be sure you have all the current updates, expecially for NET. Now this is just a guess.

Justin – one thing I noticed is that when Mosaic is up and running and you bring up Task Manager, Mosaic crashes.

Also, swarmcast is not shutting down with the application.

And, who in the dickens is Omniture? 😉 It’s a bit funky they seem to be listening in on the address verification page that also includes credit card data.

    Jake at Bucco Blog

  4. mikesheldon@cox.net

Are we supposed to be verifying our address and credit card number in Mosaic? That seems kind of suspicious

  5. villes85@yahoo.co.uk

I’ve been trying to verify my address and credit card information but it wont work. I’m international user from Finland. Keeps saying “We are unable to verify your location for broadcast blackout purposes”.

  6. kevohden@hotmail.com

I’m getting an error when launching Mosaic

Couldn’t read TVScript Application from C:\ProgramData\MLB TV Mosaic\TVScriptApp\mlb_broadband_ondemand_2007.qcb:

Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been Returned from a call to a COM component

  7. cwgraffix@hotmail.com

I am having difficulties verifying my address and credit card information as well. However my wallet and credit cards where stolen last weekend and have been since cancelled. Does the verifying process actually try to charge the card? Or does it just match the information to the billing data that I used to purchase the MLB.TV premium yearly plan? When I get sent a new credit card, how do I set up my account so that my MLB.TV subscription and Mosaic are synced with the same billing data? I live in Austria. Thank You!

  8. bat9th@hotmail.com

I am having issues as well. Running on Windows XP. *Most* the time when i double click on the archived game or baseball tv it works (the audio is off on the A’s game).. but when I try watching the archived game or baseball tv in the panels i get stream errors..and nothing works. I have tried it a ton of times and one time i got the baseball tv to run in a panel.. but not the a’s game and since that one time none will work. I have rebooted and all that. Thanks.

  9. bat9th@hotmail.com

I also have had it crash a few times. Also it seems not to remember my player tracker I entered. Keeps putting up random generated lists.

  10. bat9th@hotmail.com

Seems like swarmcast is causing problems. When I have it loaded.. it just says connecting.. and nothing happens. When I unload it, it will load the single screen videos but not multi.

  11. hagedorn@spinfo.uni-koeln.de

Pirate: not entering anything does not work for me. I guess it’s because I’m in Germany. They seem to have trouble figuring out my location for blackout purposes.

  12. bkligerman@gmail.com

There is nothing working here. I’m in France & on a Mac. Mosaic is up but I get no connection, no screens, no blackout info…
I hope this gets worked out for the home opener.

  13. Justin

Hi guys, thanks for the commentary so far.

We’re aware of the vista issues, which we hope to have resolved in the next few days.

there are a few scenarios as well that could cause the occasional crashes. We’ll be issuing another release this morning, that should clean up some of this, and will be addressing each one as we find them.

bat9th: swarmcast needs to be running, in order for the mosaic streams to work. do you by any chance have a local firewall?

Regarding the CC verification – an easy work around for issues here is to verify that you can log into mlb.tv premium via the site (which some of you may not yet have done). We’ll cache the data for verification and then mosaic should work.

  14. corey2477@aol.com

each time i load mosaic i get a message that VMR9 capabilities are required and that i need to verify that the hardware acceleration is enabled. I have verified but i keep getting this error everytime i start the software…any ideas? thamks

  15. Justin

Corey – assume you’re on win2k. please try and update to the latest version of your video driver for your machine/card. We’ve seen this on some older cards.

  16. hagedorn@spinfo.uni-koeln.de

Justin, you wrote: “Regarding the CC verification – an easy work around for issues here is to verify that you can log into mlb.tv premium via the site (which some of you may not yet have done). We’ll cache the data for verification and then mosaic should work.”

Unfortunately that’s not the case. I still get the “Address Verifification Form”. This is under OS X 10.4.9. Have you looked at the stack trace I sent? Seems to me there’s a (packaging?) problem with Axis2 classes, perhaps?

  17. cwgraffix@hotmail.com

Thanks Justin for taking the time to listen member’s feedback. This is rare these days. I watched the 1st inning of the OAK vs. SF replay this morning. Hopefully that was enough for you to cache my location. I will try Mosaic again tonight.

  18. kcotti@yahoo.com

My player tracker is doing the same thing – throwing up random lists. How disappointing. Is it normal for the program to need to constantly buffer? According to MLB.com, my connection is 10x faster than what is needed…

  19. dodgerto@hotmail.com

When I try to run setup.exe from my desktop I get an “Error reading setup initialization file” error. I’m on XP Pro, IE 7.

    thanks

  20. joshwhite@urgrad.rochester.edu

Can’t get Mosaic to install—Big Shocker..I knew MLB wouldn’t be ready for Opening Day.

I double-click to run “Setup.exe” and I get “Error reading setup initialization file”

    So MLB, any thoughts??

  21. cfrubio@yahoo.com

Mac user running OS 10.3.9 on a G4: I can’t even get beyond the “welcome” video. What’s going on here? Big shocker indeed they weren’t ready for Opening day. Is it really ever going to work for Macs?

  22. thackett@mac.com

Justin, this is not true. I can view all the streams through the regular selection process. I can log-in fine, except with Mosaic.

  23. jkaup34@cox.net

I have downloaded Mosaic, yet I can not find it anywhere on the computer. Do I have to be a computer genius to figure this thing out. Should this be expected all the time?

  25. cornell_dhl@yahoo.com

my connection is constantly buffering or getting stream errors. I’m getting a 24 – 48 mb connection (wireless) in a hotel in India. I believe I have set up the protocols correctly per MLB.com requirements. Help.

  26. eagleguy05@bellsouth.net

Can I upgrade to Mosaic with MLB.tv, or do I need Premium? Can I upgrade from Regular to Premium?
