Clarification on Archived Games

Hi all,
Some of you seem to be having trouble playing archived games, so i thought I’d spend a few minutes on the archive functionality in the mosaic. Once you’re in archived view watching the single game, there is a scrub bar at the bottom left corner of the window. By clicking and dragging this over to the right, you can advance the point in the video where you’re playing back. In addition, some of you have noticed that the linescore actually has links in it. We’ll be adding clickable linescore functionality shortly, so please check back here for an update.

Thanks,

Justin

also, the first 30 minutes or so is a loop of that guy previewing the game. if you fast forward 30 or so minutes, you’ll get to the start of the game.

I mentioned this in the suggestions blog post, but I will ask here…

Is it possible that in the future the MLB.TV pregame loop can be removed before games are archived? It’s a bit irritating to click the progress bar over and over in search of the actual beginning of the game.

I’ve noticed that when using the browser to play back, if I click on the line score in a 700 Kbps game, it take me to the 400 Kbps playback.

Is there a way to get to previous days’ games in Mosaic? Are they blacked out on Saturdays too?

Is there a way to select which audio feed (Ex: NESN vs FOX) I hear while watching a game in single screen? I could swear I changed from the Texas brodcast to NESN on Friday.
    Thanks

    Hi all,

I was having problems with constant rebuffering, but came across the following fix, which I thought I’d share.

I ran a scan of my computer, and it turned out I had my TCP Receive Window, whatever that is, set too low. Check out this link: http://www.dslreports.com/faq/578.

They recommend you download this free tool, DR. TCP, which you can used to change the settings. It’s all described at the above link.

It might be worth a try if you’re having never-ending rebuffering problems.

Mosaic works great for me, as of about an hour ago. It’s much more enjoyable without the rebuffering.

Is anyone else noticing the audio and video being out of sync more so tonight than in the past? Just curious if it’s only me having the problem. I’ll rebuffer and it’s out of sync as soon as it starts.

Also, if I get the ‘rebuffer’ message, I have to click off the current quality setting and then click back on the original one in order to actually make it rebuffer. Otherwise, it just sits there. Anyone else having that problem?

Fixed audio problem with MLB premium! My problem: NO audio with Media Player 11. Mosaic was fine (except for horrible 3 sec delay).Attempted rollback to WMP 10. No good. Called support, sent me two emails. One was “rollback to 10” (thanks), the other was reconfigure MP. Neither worked. Well there is something they left out of the “reconfigure steps” and it solved my problem, so if anyone has a similar problem try this:

    1. Open Media Player (11)

    2. Tools, Options.

    3. DVD Tab. Advanced checkbox.

    4. Click the dropdown next to Output.

    5. Choose 1/0 mono.

    6. Apply, Ok, Ok. Done.

Seems as though for me, Media Player wasn’t passing through the mono audio stream. Now it is. Hope this helps someone!

    Please Help!!!

Why can’t I update my player tracker? It tells me to press the edit button above to add players and I do so and nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong?

    @ mntwinsfan579

After you click ‘edit list’ in the player tracker, a pop-up window appears. At that point, press ctrl+F5 to force the pop-up window to refresh. After that, put the players you want in the tracker and click save. Close the pop-up, click ‘update’ in player tracker, and you should be good to go.

I too found that the audio and video were out of sync more Saturday than in the past? I’ll rebuffer and it’s out of sync as soon as it starts.

You would have thought this would all have been Beta tested thoroughly in the months leading up to the first pitch. MLB.TV = Minor League Baseball TV. Sandlot Baseball. You guys should take a lesson from UEFA Cup or Primer League or even the Masters streaming video.

    Please get it together.

Sometimes the voice breaks intermitently and is difficult to undrstand the commentator’s comments.

    Can you fix this?

I also have noticed audio lag on archived games. Please fix this problem! Also, I have noticed that when I click on a half inning to watch an archived game, it doesn’t necessarily pull the game at the start of the inning. In one instance (top 9 of Detroit vs KC today), it started playing the half inning with 2 outs already recorded. Lastly, I have a suggestion on the scrub bar in mosaic. It would be very helpful, when we click and drag the bar, to know what time we are dragging to. This is a nice feature already being utilized for the MLB.TV web application. Oh, one more thing. It’s annoying that if we are watching an archived game in 400 and want to increase quality to 700 (or go vice versa), the game starts from the very beginning after we click to increase (or decrease) the quality.
